Interfaith Housing family gets a Makeover
Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at 12:37PM This month, we visited with our friends at Interfaith Housing. It is always good to see Linda, Tom, and Vonnie. I am truly inspired by their servant hearts and open arms. They work tirelessly to help homeless families by providing not only a home but love and support. On this visit, the Sleep Experts team decided to do an apartment makeover at one of Interfaith's transitional apartments. We, of course provided mattresses and bedding, and then worked hand in hand with the Interfaith staff to paint, build and decorate a apartment for a very deserving family - a mother with three children ages 8, 13 and 18. Bill and Susan Richter of Dal-Worth Moving made a very generous donation of furniture. With their help, we were able to provide everything for this apartment! View the photos here. I was also touched by the generosity of our employees who set up a registry at Walmart and contributed a tremendous amount of their time. I hope in some small way we can make a positive change for families at Interfaith. To learn about volunteer opportunities, visit Interfaith Housing Coalition.
