Give an early Christmas gift to Ronald McDonald House families
Thursday, July 16, 2009 at 10:17PM Imagine your one-year-old child is diagnosed with a rare form of cancer requiring treatment at a Dallas hospital. Weeks turn into months and months turn into a year. But you live two hours away from Dallas – how do you maintain a sense of normalcy for the rest of your family while dealing with this crisis? This is the story of the Wheatman family, who say they would have been lost without the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas as their home-away-from-home. There are many more families like the Wheatmans, and it is their stories that have inspired us to reach out and help our friends at the RMHD by donating 120 mattress and box springs sets for their beautiful new 60,000 square foot house under construction in the Southwestern Medical District that will double the capacity of the current RMHD house.
We're celebrating our Christmas in July event at Sleep Experts, and in the Spirit of Giving, we’re asking YOU to help a family at the new RMHD by giving them an early holiday gift. Through the month of July, come to any Sleep Experts store to drop off your gift – it can be a toy for a child, or a gift card for parents – a simple item can mean so much to a family whose life has been turned upside down. Check out the RMHD wish list of items needed and help us welcome Ronald McDonald families “home for the holidays”.

Christine,
I am so proud of all of the charity work your company is doing. I remember you from years ago in Austin, we were in a play group together when our first babies were just little you and your husband left Austin to go start mattress companies here in Dallas. About two years ago Dell moved my family up to Dallas and a few months ago I saw you on TV. It took me seeing you a few times to realize that I knew from Austin. I was so happy to see that your dreams were so successful. Even more happy to see that you are using your success to help so many people in need. Congratulations to you and your company. Keep up the great work.
