Our Blog - "Christine's Corner"

I'm Christine Cook, President of Sleep Experts. As a wife and mother of two, I am most proud of our company's commitment to serving D/FW families in need through our Rest Assured mattress donation program. Through this blog I hope to share news and stories that will inspire others to join us in supporting the many nonprofit organizations in our community that serve families and children in crisis.

And from time to time, I'll also share sleep tips, advice on finding the right mattress, or other fun news and information.  Thanks for reading, and we hope you "Love Your Mattress"!

Honoring the Mothers at Interfaith Housing Coalition

Did you know that women and children make up more than half of the homeless population in the DFW area? Sadly, in today’s economy, the need among homeless and at-risk families continues to grow. Interfaith Housing Coalition is a nonprofit organization that provides transitional housing, programs and services for these families, with a vision of a home and hope for every child.  This Mother’s Day and throughout the month of May we honor the special Mothers who are making a fresh start at Interfaith Housing.  And we applaud our friends at Interfaith for the work they do to help these Mothers become self-sufficient. Sleep Experts donates refurbished mattresses for families moving in to Interfaith Housing’ 49 transitional apartments – and when they graduate, they take their mattresses with them to their new home. We hope that in some small way, we can make a difference in the lives of these and other Mothers, by Sharing the Gift of Sleep.
