Our Blog - "Christine's Corner"

I'm Christine Cook, President of Sleep Experts. As a wife and mother of two, I am most proud of our company's commitment to serving D/FW families in need through our Rest Assured mattress donation program. Through this blog I hope to share news and stories that will inspire others to join us in supporting the many nonprofit organizations in our community that serve families and children in crisis.

And from time to time, I'll also share sleep tips, advice on finding the right mattress, or other fun news and information.  Thanks for reading, and we hope you "Love Your Mattress"!

What a great end to 2010! Sharing the Gift of Sleep

We ended the year with two very special holiday events. On December 18 we were honored to be a part of the 12th annual Christmas in the Park, benefitting families of the S.M. Wright Foundation. Thanks to community and corporate donations, thousands of families were able to pick out gifts, clothing, toys and bicycles to make their Christmas whole. Sleep Experts donated 100 beds for S.M. Wright Foundation's Beds for Needy Kids program, and we only wish we could have given more!

We also were incredibly touched by the story of Angela, the recipient of the 94.9 KLTY Christmas Wish. Angela wrote in to the KLTY Christmas Wish hoping for nothing more than prayers for her newly expanded family and that her nieces would see God's love. KLTY asked us to help provide beds for the children she had taken into her home, who were sleeping on the floor.  It was an AMAZING experience to be there.  Watch the video that received 44,000 views on Godtube.com!

As we look ahead to 2011, I hope that we can Share the Gift of Sleep with more families in need.  And I personally want to give a BIG Thank you to our Rest Assured team, who have given countless hours of their time and energy to support our efforts to give back to the communities we serve.
